New Myofeed: containing PB2

Myofeed is essentially an all around great protein. Based on the products three tier absorption system, this protein is highly beneficial at any point during the day. This three tier absorption system contains a protein blend of whey protein, micellar casein, and whey protein isolate - because of each different protein, the body digests each kind at a different rate, making it the perfect protein.

Protein Blend

• Whey Protein: This is a clean form of protein with average absorption rates. Whey gives the body a good amount of amino acids and BCAAs, along with the protein of course. Because of this, it makes for the perfect healthy snack inbetween meals to curve your cravings.

• Micellar Casein: This is another form of protein, which is the slowest absorbing of all forms. When digested, the casein forms a type of clot in the stomach that slows down the rate at which our body absorbs amino acids. Because it is so slow digesting, this form is perfect before bedtime because it feeds your body with protein throughout the night.

• Whey Protein Isolate: whey protein isolate is the purest form of protein of all, containing 100% protein. Because this protein is so pure, it is absorbed very quickly by the body, allowing the protein to get to our muscles fast. This form of protein is best for right after a workout.

No Amino Spiking

A controversial topic today in the supplement industry is amino spiking. Due to the rising cost of raw protein, companies are now cutting back on the amount of pure whole protein they are putting in their products, yet still advertising the same amount as before. They are getting away with this by adding free form amino acids to their products. The addition of PB2

Purus labs recently collaborated with Bell Plantation in order to add PB2, a re-engineered form of peanut butter, to their product. PB2 takes freshly roasted peanuts and presses them, which removes 85% of the fat calories, and as a result there is 2x as many healthy proteins per gram as the traditional peanut butter. This addition creates for a healthy addition to an already great product.
